EARTHQUAKE CLOUDS AND
SHORT TERM PREDICTION

The 5.3 Off Coast of N California Earthquake,

Pinpointed out Correctly

- August 24, 2003 -

On Aug. 15, 2003, a M5.3 earthquake occurred at 40.98N, 125.60W [1]. Is there a precursor? Yes, I had exhibited an image of earthquake fog and mentioned its epicenter and magnitude on Jun. 8 [2]. The following is a comparison.

 Time Latitude (N) Longitude (W) Magnitude
My Prediction 6/8~9/4 40.5~42.3 124.8~126 >=5
The Earthquake 8/15 9:2240.98 125.6 5.3

Like earthquake clouds and geoeruptions, earthquake fog forms from a fixed place suddenly. Unlike earthquake clouds, vapor of earthquake fog erupts through many crevices. Therefore, its shape looks not dense.
